Swim Freedom has partnered up with Get Back OUT to deliver a day of Introduction to Open Water Swimming, by the Rowardennan Lodge on Loch Lomond. The day will also include some lunch (provided) and time to socialise!
This activity is tailored to beginners but it is a requirement for this activity that you know how to swim. Likewise, you are welcome to come along if you have some experience and just want an excuse to get back in the water!
Only open for LGBTIQ+ people aged 18+ who stay within the Greater Glasgow area.
You will be provided with a wetsuit and a Swim Freedom swimming hat on the day.
There are 15 spaces available for this event.

This will be a full day activity, meeting outside the LEAP office in the city centre for 9:30am departure by minibus. We should arrive back in the city centre between 5:30-6pm that evening. On arrival at the venue there will be a welcome and introductions followed by a safety briefing. Once you have been given your wetsuit and hat we will get in the water.

What to bring

Swimming costume/trunks (something to swim in)
Warm layers of clothing & raincoat
Goggles (these can be claimed as an expense from LEAP if you are buying specifically for this event).

There are some limitations for access to the water but please contact us to let us know of any needs you have and we will accommodate where we can.
