Join Team Out and About and The Outsiders Club as we take one of the city’s most famous walks, The London Capital Ring Walk Challenge. We will be doing a section every month, always on the third Sunday of the month. We will meet at 11am for the walk and then finish off at a pub for lunch.
This fifth section of the Capital Ring Walk is mainly road walking. Nevertheless it will still take us through some very interesting and leafy residential streets as well as Tooting Bec and Wandsworth Common.
Description and walking difficulty
The walk is entirely level on tarmac paths or pavements, though there is one steep footbridge with steps.
There are a range of cafes and public toilets available en route to facilitate the walk as and when required.
Section start: Estreham Road junction with Lewin Road
Nearest public transport to the start: Streatham Common (Rail)
Section finish: Wimbledon Park station
After the walk is completed we will go on to have a late lunch at a near by pub, venue TBC
