Join Team Out and About and The Outsiders Club as we take one of the city’s most famous walks, The London Capital Ring Walk Challenge. We will be doing a section every month, always on the third Sunday of the month. We will meet at 11am for the walk and then finish off at a pub for lunch.
This is a very green walk along the Grand Union Canal towpath, beside the River Brent and through a series of parks and open spaces.
There are plenty of cafes and public toilets along the route, ensuring we can refresh ourselves whilst enjoying the many sights available.
Description and walk difficulty
It is mostly level walking, on firm towpaths and tracks and grass or earth, but may be muddy in wet weather. There are some short slopes.
The route follows the Grand Union Canal and its locks at Hanwell, by the Wharncliffe Viaduct, Brent Lodge Park and Perivale Park.
Section start: Osterley Lock

Section finish: Greenford
After the walk is completed we will go on to have a late lunch at a near by pub, venue TBC
