Join Team Out and About and The Outsiders Club as we take one of the city’s most famous walks, The London Capital Ring Walk Challenge. We will be doing a section every month, always on the third Sunday of the month. We will meet at 11am for the walk and then finish off at a pub for lunch.
Section four of the Capital Ring Walk, is a little bit of a rollercoaster, incorporating the ridges and valleys of what was the Great North Wood.
Description and walk difficulty
The surfaces are almost entirely pavements or tarmac with one short rough path. There are some fairly steep ups and downs, but there are great views at the top. The walk goes through a series of parks and woods to Norwood Grove and Mansion and Rookery Gardens, and ends near Streatham Common Railway station.
There are plenty of cafes and public toilets along the route to facilitate the walk.
