Polly Shute is an Award Winning Inclusion and Partnership Specialist and a recognised public speaker on LGBTQ+ and allyship. She has been active in the LGBTQ+ space for over 10 years, including 4 years on the Board of Pride in London.
Polly co-founded Out & Wild, the UK's only Wellness and Experience Festival for LGBTQ+ women and those who are non-binary. She also co-runs events for women including London's biggest free monthly meet up, Southbank Surfing.
Polly currently heads up Corporate Partnerships for PinkNews, the world's most read LGBTQ+ media. She has also co-founded Out and About and Out & Wild Festival, creating and curating events for LGBTQ+ women and those who are non-binary
Polly has worked with leading EDI global consultancy EW Group and is registered with Champion Speakers.
Recent projects of Polly’s include supporting D&I initiatives with clients such as Greene King, Pride Sports, Women in Sport, Brentford Football Club, Royal Society of Medicine, DIVA Media Group, Kohler Mira and PRS Music.
Speaking engagements include Pret a Manger, GOSH, Yotel, Discovery TV and Outbrain, BBC, ITV and Radio 4.
As an award winning and recognised charity Director, Polly has also led on not for profit partnerships with brands that include Disney, Barclays, PwC, Tesco, Shaftesbury Estates and Amazon.
Polly has been consulting and working in the not-for-profit and commercial sectors following a career as a Marketing Director. She was on the Board of Pride in London until 2018 and has led and founded mayoral-backed business inclusion programme, Pride in the City.
Polly’s commitment to D&I has been recognised through various awards, including being listed in the Top 20 LGBT+ Leaders List by The Financial Times in 2018 and more recently in The Guardian’s Pride Power Lists of 2019 and 2020. She is also recognised as a leader in Profit for Purpose at the 2019 UK Sponsorship Awards. Polly sits on various inclusion committees, including Intermedia and Trans in the City.
